The Magna Carta: 800 Years Later

King John signs the Magna Carta in front of his lords and barons
The Magna Carta is an important document in the history of the world. Many later constitutions even based their own clauses on those of the Great Charter of 1215. It checked the power of the king against his people, reigning in his power under the law. 'Twas a revolutionary document and one that we should not forget, even all these centuries later.

In light of the popularity (and, I dare say, need right now) of praying the Rosary, I present to you:

The Mundane Mysteries of the Rosary!

These mysteries show that even the ordinary can often be extra-ordinary!

Learning Latin

As Catholics, we have a rich patrimony and tradition to draw from. We can connect with Christians of ages past through the use of a common language and have a common understanding of the timeless truths of our faith because of it.

Of course, I am speaking of Latin. She is still the mother tongue and official language of the church. We would do well to learn some. It is, after all, our birthright and our duty.
